What is Onimusha: Way of the Sword?

Onimusha: Way of the Sword is CAPCOM's single-player swordplay action game set in a supernatural version of Edo-period Kyoto. Players control Miyamoto Musashi as he battles Genma using intense sword combat and the mystical Oni Gauntlet.

The Oni Gauntlet can absorb Genma souls and convert them into power, while combat rewards learning defensive timing, precise counters, and aggressive sword techniques. Exploration, character progression, formidable enemies, and boss encounters form the core journey through the corrupted capital.

Combat: Parry, Deflect & Issen
